SALAM DJAAZ

Was born in Baghdad in 1964 and studied at the Academy of Fine Art of the University of Baghdad from 1984-88. In 1996 he came to Holland where he first worked as an artmaster. From 1997-1999 he studied at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. Since 2001 he teaches at the Vrije Academie in The Hague. He has exhibited extensively in many solo or group exhibitions, mainly in Holland (Pulchri, Gallery Kadans, Vrije Academie, Inkt, Gallery de Fietsenstalling) but also in Germany (ANO Atelier Lubeck) and in his native country Iraq.
